man should be most afraid of themselves...we can do SO much damage to the earth! We could KILL a WHOLE population of animals! we are on top of the food chain right? So why are WE scared? The animals should be more afraid of US! We could ruin them. Sure..some can hurt us...many diseases etc...but we could destroy the world bare handed.
Now you tell me...who should we be afraid of most?

While I don't think being scared is a very practical response, probably the animal that causes the most human deaths is the MOSQUITO.
Yes, you heard me right. Mosquitoes.
Take malaria. It causes over a million human deaths EVERY YEAR. And it's spread almost exclusively by the anopheles mosquito. That's just ONE of HUNDREDS of diseases known to be spread by mosquitoes... and we come up with more of them every year.
In fact, if you were to rate the top killers of people globally, insect-spread diseases would be third (after AIDS and tuberculosis). The only way even humans can compare to that kind of killing power is if you consider them to be disease transmitters in the same way... and I think most humans would rather resent that label. Wars and violence kill a lot of people, yes. But not as many as moquitoes do.

I dont think man has any ANIMAL to fear, as long as you don't include ourselves. However there is an enormous amount of bacteria and viruses that can wipe out millions of people in an epidemic. That's the living thing that we should be scared of most.

No animal is really that much of a threat to us these days, we are of far greater threats to them. But if I had to pick an animal, I would say great white shark.

Rats, they carry diseases. They are the reason so many people died in from the Bubonic Plague (one third to one half of the population of Eurasisa).
