I think I understand why you are asking this question: It seems most closers can just absolutely dominate for 1 inning so if you had 9 dominating closers (1 per inning) then how could you lose right? The problem comes when one of your pitcher is not on his game and he gets roped around the yard, then what do you do? If you bring in another pitcher he will have to pitch at least 2 inning and most closers are very ineffective after 1 inning. Plus there is a certain mindset a closer has to have (some would say mentally unstable) and most closers rely heavily on their fastball and when you have 9 guys throwing fastballs all game it will be easy for the opposing team to adjust and start hitting them later in game. So YES you can have 9 closers but would you want it? NO!

Closer isn't an offical postition rocognized by the MLB, it's just a phrase. According to the MLB there are Starting Pitchers and Relief Pitchers. The various Relief Pitching Positions (closer set-up and long relief) are assigned by the team to define the Players role.

Most teams have about nine pitchers on their roster of which five are starters, two long relief, one set-up and one closer. The closer has to know he is coming in to end the game and it is usually a problem for those teams that have two closers, or more.

Yes, but you would have no starters or long relievers. Most teams only hold 11 or 12 pitchers. Having nine closers would mean that you only have 2 or 3 starters, long relievers, set-up guys, and short relievers.
It would not be an ideal pitching staff.

Its possable to have 10 or 11 if you choose too, but that would mean cutting other players to lighten up the roster, each team is aloud to have a certain amount of players you can choose who you want but you need to obey to the rules of how many players on a roster not per position

There aren't 9 quality closers per league, much less on any one team.

Of course. You can have a roster of all closers, if you wish. But, obviously it's not a good idea.
