No it won't be painful or harmful just messy and I would still use protection for hygiene's sake. Beside some women have a short cycle and you never can be too careful especially if sex takes place towards the end of menstruation. On the other hand some women find they are more aroused during their periods.

Sex during periods always makes my cramps stop. It's messy and you should always use a condom. It causes no harm and the only pain I've ever experienced is if I'm bloated, but a different position usually alleviates that.

yes it is safe it wont harm you at all but it can be a little unpleasent and messy, some people actually prefer it as it is said women have a higher sex drive during periods. I'd suggest your man wears a condom and put a towel down though as it can be a bit messy x

It is not painful and will not cause any harm at all. In fact, many women say that sex during their period helps cramps. All it is, is messy.

If you aren't using hormonal methods, be aware that there IS a chance that pregnancy can occur, though rare. Therefore it might be advisable to use a contraceptive method, just to be safe.

As for pain, it can be uncomfortable if your partner bangs into your cervix (which is usually a bit swollen and sits a little lower in your vaginal vault during your cycle).

Other than those two caveats, there is nothing wrong with sex during your period, if YOU want to do it.

No, having sex during a woman's period will not cause her any harm. However, you should still use a condom to prevent STDs and/or the remote possibility of pregnancy.

No its not painful, but it is kinda messy. Both of you tend to get alittle bloody. The smell is horrible. Period and sex smells do not mix. You can still get pregnant while having sex on your period so if you choose to do it, wear a condom. It will be alot cleaner too for him.

No pain at all and no harm will come of it, it's just messy! You might want to do it in the tub!

It won't hurt or do any harm. Sex with orgasm can actually help with cramps. There is nothing worng with it as long as you both agree. (Make sure you put an old towel or sheets on the bed, so you don't ruin your good sheets)

No, but it is very gross. Really wouldn't do much harm but would probably not be as fun b/c it's a bloody mess....literally.
