Unlike most politicians, he refuses to engage in partisan bickering to gain political advantage. His courtesy and thoughtfulness, his self-mocking sense of humor, and his adherence to his Jewish faith have given him a glowing image that has helped him throughout his career.

Lieberman says he will support a presidential candidate who, regardless of party, understands the threat of Islamist terrorism and will be the strong leader America needs against this enemy.

"I could support a Republican or an independent or a Democrat," Lieberman

He puts party politics aside for the love of his country. What a guy! If he were to be asked to run for VP which party would gain the most from a Lieberman VP on their ticket?

I really am looking at Lieberman as probably one of the best statesman we have had in the last 50 years. His ability to stand up to both parties the Dems on foreign policy the Reps on domestic issues shows a man who knows his views and will not compromise them. I am glad he did not give up when the far left of his party sabotaged him in the last election.

valuable, Lieberman isn't a Democrat so he shouldn't get the privilege of being a member of optimum human beings social gathering. The (I) next to his call stands for guy or lady for Israel. optimum of what Lieberman does is for his very own earnings or for Israel. He has no loyalty to a social gathering or to the country. Lieberman has executed purely approximately no longer some thing together with his committee. He purely needs to maintain it so he has a communication board swifter or later to back attack Barack Obama. This has no longer some thing to do with unfastened speech or making judgements on his very own yet approximately belonging to a social gathering and helping the contributors of the social gathering. Lieberman hasn't been the comparable via using actuality that he ran for vice president and had the debate with Cheney the region he whined approximately no longer making any funds as Senator and Cheney suggested to return back over to their section if he mandatory funds. Lieberman's important different have been given the vast salaried lobbyist place after the 2000 loss and his sucking as much as Bush and the GOP. a good analogy may well be if the events have been soccer communities and Lieberman saved throwing the ball to the opposing group so as that they might win. He does no longer get to play if he saved helping distinctive section. enable's settle for it the Democratic and GOP structures are thoroughly distinctive and his help of McCain proves that he isn't any longer helping the Dems. I even have faith Mike Truss, Harry Reid is yet yet another opportunist parading as a Democrat. His sickening appeasement of the offender Bush is sufficient to make each and every physique vomit. If Reid can no longer furnish the votes or get some thing executed, he might desire to step aside and enable somebody else have the section.

Indeed, but I would add Senator McCain to that list also. Read this: http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=OWQzNTNmMjAxMTMwNmFjNmVlMjhkOTZjNTdhZWI3Y2I

Lieberman and McCain are class acts. You know how you can tell? The Dems hate Lieberman and the Reps loathe McCain. Moderation doesn't bode well in party politics.

I think Americans want an alternative to the extremes being pushed by the right and left. Lieberman as VP would boost either party's ticket in 2008. McCain/Lieberman sounds good to me. That would be my dream "Unity 08" ticket. (www.unity08.com)

Lieberman is the only guy with testicular fortitude to stand up to the shrills of his own party. They wouldn't let him run as a Dem, so he ran as an Independant and won. He has been criticized for being Jewish by his own party that is supposed to be accepting, caring and understanding of all poeple. He is a stand up guy, the best the left has. He is not scared to cross the political isle to back legislation that is good for America.

As good as he is, he is still a lefty. Many of his votes won't go over so well with Conservatives.

He also supported the Amnesty Bill. I was a backer of Lieberman up until then.

One time a few years ago I had a bad case of the crabs. But, instead of getting all depressed and blaming society I picked about 50 of them off, put them in a baggy and went down to the local police department where I sprinkled them on the toilet seats.

The lesson is, when life hands you lemons, give the police crabs.

The end.

I agree with the majority of your points, however, here comes the disagreement, sometimes you have to judge a person by the company he keeps and his voting record has a fair amount of socialistic leaning in it.

Lieberman is a sanctimonious little putz, and is nearly off his rocker. Gore HAD HIM on his ticket in 2000. Big mistake.

Most senators can't stand the prig.
