does anyone know if there is a steak house in athens called Georges, i ate there atleast 35 years ago and it was the best of the best and bussy all the time

well if we are talking about the same George steak house well then yes. the George i am talking about is at Monastiraki and even if it is not the one you are talking about well i think again that steak house is the best!!!

Of course. Its located in Glyfada area (southern suburbs) in a street unofficialy called "Biftekoupoli" (city of the steaks, lol) right on the main square, next to Everest. I was there a week ago, it surely has some of the best steaks and fried potatoes.... hehe

If you stay in the centre of Athens you can catch the tram and go directly to Glyfada.

You have to specify exactly where it was, in which neighbourhood. The name george is very common and it is possible that there may be a taverna or steak house by that name, but how could we know it is the same one?

Yaso! I wanted to tell you yes its still there....thats the Good thing about Greece...the old is never out.

some countries ususally shut down old resturaints, businesses, buildings, etc.

But not Greece....they keep the old...
