He doesn't need one.
He's the one who brings the money home. You just need to have his dinner ready.

Have you ever been late from work? Do you work? If there is more to the story share it don't just ask other people's paranoid opinions so you can feed your own untrusting mind. Do you think he's cheating? If so just confront him with your "proof". Otherwise maybe...just maybe, it's not an excuse...maybe its a real reason he's late. I have often been given a lot to do at the last minute and my husband has never once been on line asking people if there is a possibility that I'm cheating. Of course there's a possibility, but what you need to ask yourself, is "what is the probability? " And here in L.A. traffic is the number one reason for being late to anything. This is a ridiculous question, because your asking for scenarios instead of real hard thought-out answers.

Whatever the excuse, he should call and let you know. If he is running late and you do not here from him, you call him. Let him know ou are worried about him. Now... If this is a marriage that is not doing so well, then you need to talk to him and find out what is really going on. LAST RESORT, follow him and see what he is up too. depending on his type of work, you maybe able to go by his office to drop him off some food. AKA: check up on him

Maybe he is having a beer.. or maybe he is having an affair.. Investigate before you go crazy...he is doing something during this time he is away..you should say something or hey the way things are in this world with all the sickness and stuff going around I would go as far as follow him from work to see where the hell hes being going... Safety is first.. do something to find out..maybe you see that he may be very well like i said spending times with some co-workers having a beer..

as i was coming out of the office I tripped over a dog, it turned around and nipped my hand and it was foaming a bit at the mouth so a passing old lady suggested I get a nurses shot for that, then she had a heartattack and my mobile ran out of charge so i had to call over a passing man to call an ambulance, the man did so but was late for a meeting so he had to go and because my mobile had no charge i couldnt call you. the old lady and me both got into the ambulance then the ambulance crashed into the curb and we had to be rescued by another ambulance. I finally got taken to the hostpital and the old lady was whisked off to A and E and I had to wait for ages to get a shot and I couldnt call you because I might miss my turn. But i'm fine now.

does he always give you an excuse? do you not trust him?
is there any reason that your husband comes home late?
maybe you need a heart to heart talk with him. tell him how you feel uncomfortable. if you think that he is doing things that he shouldn't be doing you need to talk to him.

Who cares?
Call ya best friend and go round their pad for a chat
make sure you dont return untill ya sure husband is home
Dont make a fuss or say anything
Carry one as normal
Do this more and more often and later each time
If you act like a door mat and just sit and wait for him he will walk all over you
If you dont trust him it might be time to move on!

Probably something you won't want to hear. Hopefully he doesn't make a habit of this. Is his job that time consuming, or do you think something else may be going on. Usually your gut instinct is the thing you should trust. Good luck.
