Sometimes lack of sleep can cause it, or just general eye tiredness. (Like from staring at a computer screen too long or straining your eyes to read a book with fine print.) I've had this happen before and even continue for a few days. It's really annoying but doesn't seem to have any serious repercussions. Now if you start having pain or impaired visions then I would see a doctor. If this is still going on in a few days, but there's no other symptoms, I would call your doctor just to see if they think you should be seen.

My eyes do that sometimes too. Drives me nuts. Muscle spasms are often caused by low potassium levels. Go buy some bananas and eat them. Might help.

you are tired, your nervous system in particular. You need to relax, get some more sleep, watch less TV and computer, generally take it easy.
