Okay. That's a great story line, but what is your question?
This is something the character has to solve, and the clues as to how she will solve it will be presaged in your story through things she says or does, so her final decision will be consistent with her character. Start writing, and as you get more familiar with your character, she will tell you what her decision will be.

She goes to her brother's wedding. An opportunity for a big job might come up agan, her brother's wedding, never. If she didn't go, could she live with herself ? It's a hard choice, except that in ur story, what kind of relationship does she have with her brother? That could factor in a whole lot of new complications. hope this helps, and good luck!

She does both. You can't miss your own brother's wedding, but she can show up for just a few and run off to New York. That's what I would do. :)
