I am not sure if this answers the question, but one thing that I always thought was kind of peculiar is the fact that as single words, "awe" and "wonder" are synonyms. But when you add the suffix "ful," they become antonyms. Weird, huh?

How about a bridge going over the highway. Wouldn't that make it the low way?
