I bet you're not the only single gal who doesn't have plans for July 4th. If looking for a new friend, might I suggest looking online for anyone else searching for the same (plans for the holiday). You could also catch a ballgame, go to a bar for some company with other singles, go to the beach, watch a fireworks display, or even volunteer at any Fourth of July events that may be happening in your town.

Either join your own family (parents and siblings), or ask one of your closest friends if you can join him/her for their July 4 celebration. Mention that it's your birthday and you'd like to take a few minutes to celebrate. Bring or order the cake yourself, in red, white, and blue, saying "Happy Birthday, (your name)".

If you're really stuck by yourself on your birthday, go see a patriotic movie (Sicko, or A Mighty Heart--or rent 1776!), or check your local newspapers for goings-on that day: a battle recreation, a museum, an outdoor concert. You could also go to the beach, the pool, an amusement park, picnic grounds, or baseball game. At night, go watch the fireworks!

Celebrate your birthday with your friends this weekend, if possible.

Find out what activities are near you for 4th of July and partake in the festivities. Have some birthday cake, watch some fireworks and enjoy the day. =)

Tell your friends that the reason the Americans celebrate the 4th July is because it is is your birthday. But George Dubbya has not been introduced to you; he wasn't invited to your party; so he had to come up with a different reason to celebrate.
As a wrinkly, I hope you have a good one!

I guess this is kinda late right now but I would go out to see the celebrations and get caught up in the spirit of the holiday.

Plan your own birthday celebrations earlier or later.

After all, you're birthday is the same day every year, what did you do before now?

I kinda know what this is like - my birthday's December 25th.

First off, congratulations and happy birthday!

I like to set goals for the coming year on my birthday. Also, you may enjoy going somewhere there are a lot of other people, such as going to see fireworks or to a parade or fair in your area.

As for celebrating your birthday, have you tried celebrating on the eve of your birthday, such as going out with your friends the evening before and, if staying out that late, having champagne at midnight?

You could just quietly enjoy your birthday on your own that day by going out and doing something you want to do, like seeing a new movie or eating at your favorite restaurant, and then when your friends all come back form their vacations, you could have a belated b-day party, like maybe next weekend. Happy birthday to you!!!

Happy Birthday, we share the same one. Before I got married and had kids, I'd spend the day volunteering and then end it with a trip to a nice restaurant. I always felt good after wards and I was blessed for it.

Celebrate on another day with others. Get a nice bottle of wine, and go to a park and listen to music and watch the fireworks with the rest of the party revelers
