Umm, just practice your form, follow, through, release and technique everyday. You have to really be dedicated to it. It is very very very important that you practice the basic mechanics right before you play so you get into the groove of it early. Go stand right in front of the basket and practice your shot mainly follow through and release. Even if you don't make it your are getting your technique and form in line for when game time comes.

When you shoot make sure your facing the rim and the rim is directly between your shoulders. If you shoot with your right your right foot has to slighty be a little bit more foward than the left and vice versa if you shoot left. Make sure your shooting elbow is aligned with your knee. and make sure your elbow is aligned with your shoulder. It should look like a 90 degree type thing. when you release make sure you fully extend your arm your hang hands after you release. You gotta flick your wrist for proper spin. Also when you shoot, remember you are pushing the ball up into the air. Alot of people just chuck the ball at the basket in a straight line, no. Good shooters have good shooting form and their shot will always have a nce arc to it, make sure you get that arc in your shot. It is a little harder to contest and the percentage of it going in is higher than if you just shoot it really low with hardly any arc.

Practice, practice, and practice some more. I read once that Michael Jordan used to take at least 500 shots every day during the off season.

try a set routine you do everyday, start from the lower block without the ball, then with the ball, and so on and so forth farther back. Then once you get that go faster to game speed.
