me and my boyfriend planned for my visit this july in the netherlands, so i am getting my visa and we were told at the embassy here in my country philippines that it takes 14 calendar days minimum before i get my visa and i asked if it's going to catch up upon my flight sched and she confirmed that it will so we booked a flight already our mistake. my bf called the embassy here they said they sent our request to the dutch immigration already but when he called the dutch immigration they said they haven't received anythhing yet and it will take 6-8 weeks for the processing!! when my bf called the embassy here in my country again they said they can't tell him why. but they can tell me! why only me? not with my dutch bf? strange. so i'll have to call again and ask about this tomorrow.

This is an outrage. You should complain. It is not your mistake that your embassy misinformed you! You can complain at several institutions. Maybe it is a good thing to write a letter to the embassy and send a copy to the Ombudsman. Or you can send a copy to the ministry of foreign affairs first. The thing is that they will take your letter more seriously if you send a copy to an important institution. I think sending a copy to the ministry of foreign affairs first is the best. The address is: PO Box 20061, 2500 EB The Hague,
The Ombudsman PO Box 93122 2509 AC The Hague the Netherlands.
And when you complain, give them a way out, like if I are mistaken and it will be settled soon, I apologize and will send a letter to the ministry of foreign affairs.
