The large corporations. That's why we're a fascist state, run by the military industrial complex. Break the cycle: vote Ron Paul for president.

Good point! Here's an idea for those who want to point out how much money we 'owe' to the world - one that will allow us to pay ALL of that debt in a matter of weeks.
1. All that FREE aid we're handing out the world over every day? Yeah, you're paying for that food now.
2. The trillions of dollars of European debt we forgave after rebuilding their countries post World War II. We'd like that back now.
3. The further trillions of dollars of debt (belonging primarily to 3rd world countries who were being crushed under 20 year old loans). We're gonna need to see a return on that investment now.
4. United Nations and all international organizations on American soil (continental and abroad) - rent's due boys! Pay the piper!
5. The nations (France, Germany, Northern Europe, Japan) who have been able to build their economies freely, and give their people entitlements UNDREAMED of over here because they didn't have to pay to train and equip their own military (as ours is there protecting them already). Yeah, we're pulling out, pay for your own protection.
6. We will no longer be involved in overseas ventures with the UN - it costs too much. (That's really gonna be rough for you UN supporters, considering our forces make up more than half of their total strength).
Or.... you can drop this crap and remember that the reason we're in debt is because we're too busy bailing the world out to save any for ourselves.

Having just watched a video on the Central Bank and all that has spewed from that institution, I implore people to educate themselves as to the reason and main agitation that got America it's independence from Britain in 1783....
I ask, why are people afraid to educate themselves?

Pessimistically, the MIC (military industrial complex), China, and Rupert Murdoch. Optimistically, you, the people, if you wipe out all of the above. Good luck!

Calm down! We have not run up trillions of dollars in debt on this war. The trillions of dollars in debt is from all the spending this country does on things it has no business spending money on. Heck, they were just offering 4.4 billion in pork to try to get senators to vote for immigration reform.

Good point. Yet "we support the troops" neo-cons want tax cuts versus footing the bill.
Neo-cons offer nothing but lip service and won't sacrifice a nickel for the war they claim to believe in.
Neo-cons enjoy leaving tons of national debt for the following generations to pay off. They have the nerve to talk about welfare being bad???
