Try IBprofen. Warm baths and hot drinks can also help.

You can take Midol but that can knock you out. You can take aspirin and that could alleviate some of the pain. If it is excruciating, have a doctor check it to make sure it's nothing serious. Cramps before your period is a good thing. It lets you know that the period is on its way. But my dear, you have to go through this every month. It's part of being a woman.
Also, try exercising and just keep on doing your normal activities. The more you lay around and stress about it, the more it will hurt

Im in the same boat. Aleve is my savior!! Advil doesnt work too well but good old Aleve does. Ive tried Pamprin too - its pretty good.
Exercise also helps me. Ive found that walking or a light jog or even doing a workout DVD like Taebo helps ease my pains.

I have good results with Pamprin Maximum Strength for all the symptoms. If you find it's painful before and during your doctor can give you a prescription to treat pmdd, which you may have.

You can always use Advil or Mortin for the pain. Also before you period you could use a heating pad on your stomach.

I find that Aleve works amazingly...
Also if you're not currently on birth control, ask your doctor about it because there are some out there that help ease menstrual cramps.
