It is gone. I was deleting some unsed files, and apparently it got accidently deleted. All my wordpad documents can not be opened...they are rdf now I think.....

1. It is not in the recycle bin( and if it was it would have been deleted aswell)
2. It was not found using "run"
3. I have no system restore points(they were deleted too)
4. the microsoft website was no help

Just visit this page http://www.rowancabarrus.edu/downloads/
Then scroll down, you should see wordpad. Download and install.

Did you delete the entry in All Programs?

If yes, WordPad is still on your PC. Go to: Start > Run and type: wordpad.exe and it will open WordPad.

OR

Try the free and M$-Office compatible Open Office, it can read and edit .RTF files, too.

How in the world did you delete your system restore points?!

System Restore is imo one of the most valuable tools Windows has... good luck and be more careful next time!

load your OS CD and select the "detect/repair" option or go to control center and "install/remove Windows components"
