How come they don't take TAX out of your CHECK when your 17 years old?

Can you work for the government without a GED or High school DIPLOMA.

R.O.T.C don't count. Im talking about a working in a F.B.I FEDERAL building.

It is not against the law. We have child labor laws which allow those under 17 to work but with many, many restrictions. I worked a part-time job when I was in high school and I can tell you they definitely took tax out of my pay check when I was 17. I do not know where you got the idea 17 year olds are not taxed. I remember filing my income tax at 17.

I joined the USMC at 17 years old. All that was required was parental permission. So I would imagine pretty much anything would be open if you wanted to get into it and were suitably qualified.

Edit: Who the hell was talking about ROTC? I was talking about the United States Marines. I graduated early, shipped at 17 1/2, and was out of basic before my 18th birthday.
