Writing a resume or vita as it is also known is very easy

Top center of page name
Below centered address
Below centered phone number (s)

BOLD Education
List college, and degrees or projected year of graduation
if not then high school
If you have taken specific college courses or online courses that qualify for your job request highlight those

BOLD Employment
Go from current or most current back at least ten years
Format would be

Company Name
Address
Phone number with area code
Job title
Salary
Immediately supervisor name/title
Description of Job - this area you are honest but use words that also help to show you are qualified for the new job you are seeking. In other words, you should update the resume for each new job application Do not hestitate to list the job area followed by a very nice description.

Also under employment list any volunteering you have done beyond a day or two, e.g., so job title would be volunteer

BOLD Awards and Honor
This is a section where you can talk about things that show you give to the community and they recognize that by giving you a certificate, etc.

DO NOT give marital status, kids, who you live with (like parents, wife, roommate, etc.) because it is illegal for them to ask

When you apply you can attach a copy of the resume but know many jobs today use internet applications.

Good luck
