Yes, the Suns and Spurs should have played in the western Conf. Finals and not the semis.

Absolutely.
Since, through the entire history of the NBA, one conference has dominated the other (the cyclical nature dictates that the East will someday be better than the West), the playoff seedings should be changed to something where the top four teams from each conference automatically get in, with the top teams from each division getting the 1 and 2 seeds...but other than the automatic 8, the bottom half 8 be ranked by standings, regardless of conference.
Either that, or just seed every team, give the top 4 teams #1 seeds, have them wait for the quarter finals, and have everyone else play single elimination, NCAA style games...then you can have Cinderella teams.

no, if an upset occurs and someone gets a lucky draw then that is just what happens in the playoffs. However, I do have a problem with the division winners getting the top seeds. If a team is under .500 then they shouldn't be the 4 seed. The only reward a team should get for winning the division is a spot in the playoffs and the seeds should be decided by record. This isn't football with 16 games and a great level of parity. Seed the conference 1-8 based on record and go from there.

Yes it has to happen, its the only major pro sport that doesn't. If you don't reseed than what purpoe did the regular season serve? If your one seed still may end up playing a higher ranked team than your 3 seed in the second round what purpose did it serve being the one seed in the first place? The NFL got it right with the reseeding.

The NBA seeding has always been ridiculous. It will probably be more ridiculous next season. Stern and Co. have to come up with some wacky **** to make something go wrong.

NO... because if the worst team pulls the upset, they are disadvantaged because they'd have to play the next best team.
