Have you ever sat on a train and/or bus, and seen two complete strangers start a conversation over say, a book one of them was reading.
When i see that, i ask myself how do people do that, i get so self concious I never start a conversation, and if some one does, im so uncomfortable i smile, answer and look down...
Anyone else do this or am I just an awkward teen ?

Yes, but one thing I realized was that it wasn't my moment. My moment happened later when I was on the bus reading and someone else asked about my book.
Be patient, your moment will happen.

no ,it is normal.
some people are like u ,and some aren't.it is not bad or good,it is in yr nature...some people are more outgoing,and some are more shy!
