If your computer is shutting of and on then you will lose an image on your monitor. Some monitors you will here the relay "clicking" open and closed. To say this in another way if you have monitor problems it should affect your computer.

Edited to add:

Make certain you aren't have power surges in which case both your computer and monitor would be affected. In this case your monitor could be going on and off and your computer is rebooting each time which is why you hear that beeping sound.

The bulb interior your liquid crystal demonstrate has a finite existence, so basically like a time-honored easy bulb, in case you go away the demonstrate screen on for hours and hours and hours once you're no longer using it, the video demonstrate will die faster. I see your element appropriate to the nifty demonstrate screen saver,i've got considered some staggering ones myself. you will possibly be able to evaluate putting the "turn off video demonstrate" timer at something like 3 or 4 hours as a sturdy compromise between taking part in the demonstrate screen saver and the existence of the demonstrate screen. this way that's not on for a large style of the time you're asleep or no longer dwelling house.

It's not your monitor.

If you mean beeps, not "dings" you have an internal hardware problem.

Take it in for service or have a knowledgeable friend re-seat all cards, cables and heat sinks inside your PC.
