Parallel import - a motorcycle or scooter that has a U.K. equivalent, but has been imported through a non-franchised importer, rather than the official U.K. importer.

Grey import - a motorcycle or scooter that has no U.K. equivalent model. Usually home market or U.S. only models, brought in privately or by specialist grey-bike importers.
