You can, but it's not the best food for them. I would suggest you pick up some betta food or at least tropical fish flakes as soon as you can.

You could feed it goldfish food for a short while, but too long wouldn't be good for it. Betta food is made specifically for bettas, just as goldfish food is made specifically for goldfish.

Some bettas won't even eat goldfish food. (They're picky like that.)

No, you shouldn't. Goldfish are a cold water fish and are herbivores. Bettas are tropical fish and are omnivores with a strong preference for insects/protein. By feeding a betta goldfish food you deprive it the nutrients it needs. Plus goldfish food will foul your betta's water quicker than food formulated for bettas. Good Luck!

Bettas are carnivores, so the best diet is meat based. Daphnia, bloodworms etc are favourite, but the occasional meal of goldfish food will be okay.

No! Goldfish food will only kill your betta, thats why it's called GOLDFISH food! They have specially formulated Betta food and dried black worms which are nutritional and inexspensive.

I would suspect that you really do need betta food. Betta food is composed of pellets instead of flakes. Betta food is made up of 45% Min. crude protein, 15% min crude fat, 5% ax. crude fiber, 8% max. moisture, and 12% max. ash. The main ingedients are fish meal, fish oil, blood meal, hydrolyzed feather meal, and wheat flour brewers yeast.

You could, but it is not as good for it. Betta food will improve its color, it will eat it, but it does not contain the right ammount of nutrients for Bettas...
