Does anyone know anything about the Trucking-transport business? I want to help my dad expand his business. He owns two belly-dump trucks and he does pretty good, but any input or words of wisdome is welcomed!

You have to look at the economics. There are times when you are better to stay at 2 trucks. Maybe that is the best process. If you think it is best to grow, then you have to look at where is the market. Same as he has or in a different but similar market.

Think about his current customers. The easiest way to expand is to try to find more customers exactly like this. Interview current customers to see what they like and dislike about the service he provides. YOU do the interviews, and tell the customers that he has hired you to do some follow up customer satisfaction surveys.
Use info from these surveys to (1) improve the existing service, and (2) provide testimonials to new prospects.
