The woman should be treated the same. I had some instructors in college that were my age or younger and they treated me just like everyone else.
It's the only way to be fair, otherwise, you are dealing with age discrimination.

I would say she should try to keep things as uniform as possible...for fairness to all involved...she would not want the younger girls to say that the older lady gets special treatment or vise versa....also depending on the other girls maturity and commitment to learning levels, they may react negatively to the older lady....I would think if they others are getting in trouble that the older lady will be somewhat more mature and not doing the same things, therefore should be exempt from that particular punishment for that offense...if it continues to bother her, then I would say maybe mention one on one after class to the lady that she apologizes for the disruption in the class and hopes that she is getting all she expected out of her class....this will open the door but bottom line is that this lady knew when she enrolled that she would probably be older than most others and was prepared for this setting...tell your GF to be confident and she will be fine...I understand, I was a medical supervisor for a large clinic at one time and remember my girl scout leader from grade school being hired on board not in my direct department but still in a position that was under me and I had to ask her to do things sometimes...now that was weird, I always tried to make eye contact so I didn't have to say her name.

I don't understand the question. Why would an older woman be admitted as a student? That makes no sense.
Anyway, no matter what age, if the woman is a student she should be treated like all the other students. Many times college professors teach students older than they are, but they (the professor) is still the authority.

It really happens that sometimes teachers find students older
than her in her class. But there rules and regulations that a student must follow and violations must be dealt with
accordingly. There must not be a special treatment to be
given even if the student is older than the teacher. To be bias
in treating your students will create a not so condusive
environment which could result in a chaotic situation.

Many colleges and universities have admitted older students, some as old as in their 60's. All students, no matter their age, must follow the rules set down by the school. In your gf's situation, the same concept should apply. Just as people of all ages must obey the laws of their country, so must students of all ages obey the rules and regulations of their school.

The largest challenge in teaching is to set rules and standards and treat all equally, while at the same time you are to treat them as individuals with unique talents, skills, and limitations, with varying expectations from student to student....
It is enough to drive a teacher nuts trying to walk this rope.
