I do a monthly budget and put the due date beside the item. I also then make columns of each paycheck and put the amount owed per bill under the paycheck it needs to be paid so it isn't late. Example: cable is due 15th of the month. This month the 15th is on Sunday. If I have to mail the bill, then I pay it on the July 6th check because if you mail it out on the 13th it won't get there on time. If I can pay the bill on their website and it post that day, I would pay it on the 13th.

The other thing I have used is an organizer that has 31 slots and when I get the bill I put them in the correct slot. I found it at Target. I am sure all the big box stores have a system similar. It would be in the home office area.

Now (since I pay bills on my lunch hour at work) I use a Pentax folder and file our bills by date range (1st-10th; 11th-20th, 21st-31st) and pay them per slot. I also put my budget in it's separate slot so I know which bills to pay when. I also have another slot to put the paid bills in named "paid - to file"

I hope these ideas help!

You should keep a large monthly desk calendar. Mark each paycheck on your pay date in a positive number and write in the calendar each bill as you get them in the mail with a negative number a few days prior to the due date for the payment. Also, each time you deduct a payment from your paycheck amount, write down the balance so you know how much money you should have in your account after the payment. Set up automatic debtis from your back account online.

Use a notebook. When you get your mail sort it and put all bills in your notebook. Write out when all bills are due on a sheet of paper. Then take that sheet and seperate the bills into your pay periods. (For example, I get paid every two weeks. So for the month of July I have 2 pay periods. I seperate the bills by due date into those 2 pay checks. I pay everything I can online through my bank. Everything else I write a check for.) I pay everything within a couple of days after getting my pay check.

I make a record of all the fees due each month. next to each I write the due date, yet I make it 2 days in the past if I pay with the aid of e mail and seven days in the past if I mail the fee. Then next to that I write the quantity due. Then I make certain what's mandatory from my pay examine for any costs due that week. (i gets a commission weekly so i glance on the record weekly) I deposit that quantity and mail or e pay those costs. I take $20. and placed it away right into a reductions account. it fairly is an envelope for emergencies. I then use what's left over for food, gasoline and entertainment. which isn't alot. this form my costs are paid until eventually now i'm able to spend the money on the rest. this technique seems to artwork for me.
