Because the first thing he probably said after the bombing was "lawyer".
If he was refused treatment the hospital would be sued, the government would take a shaking, the terrorists would accuse us of abusing and possibly in this case killing prisoners. People already go nuts about gitmo, can you imagine the ramifications from the world if we refused a prisoner medical treatment in a life threatening situation.
So we could never not let it happen because of international politics but for what it's worth I agree with you totally.

That comes under Accident and Emergency which is available immediately without waiting to everybody.
It's important to keep him alive to provide intelligence , which you are obviously short of.

Ironic isn't it, that he is now being treated, free of charge, courtesy of the nation that he hated enough to try and bring chaos and death to. I'm a decent person, but I hope he has permanent scars, to remind him of what he did.

I say let the angry travelers who were delayed by these nuts have at them. This might be the most inhumane thing you can do, but it would be just and free up hospital spaces.

he is the key suspect in a major investigation. It is, presumably, vital that he be got well enough to answer some tough questions. What would be gained from not treating him?

anthony9223- he was no idiot, he's been the first hero i have seen in dealing with terrorists for decades, he tackled the a**hole despite his own safety, but scots do group together in situations like this.
