I don't think all Liberals believe this, just like all Conservatives do not believe the way many Liberals post...I think this is more accurately posted as "The Beliefs of the Mainstream Media and Liberal Politicians"

Yeah, that about sums up what liberals believe. About the only thing you left out is:
You believe that the military is made up of the lowest dregs of society, and it really doesn't matter if any of these losers dies because there is always another one to take his or her place. That is certainly the way I was treated when we had a liberal democratic congress, anyway.

You are right on the money! If you hate America, vote for a Democrat!
joecool123_us (10 below me) Speaking of AIDS, you stated: "In this country it is spread by overly promiscuous behavior from people with little personal accountability..." There is no surprise there. Liberals carrying on as if there is no accountability for anything! They do not believe there is a cause and effect. That's just plain foolness! During the mid to late '80's comment after comment was made in the media stating that if people don't to help us with having AIDS in finding a cure, we are going to become blood donors. Many did. And the very people who made that comment "claim" to be "peaceful people...we're not brothering anyone." Now, who is kidding whom? There is a Judgment Day, regardless of how anyone feels about it. And if won't be base on "I think," "I feel," "that's not fair" or it's "good enough". And it will be done by "the" God the liberals claim doesn't exist or don't want to be brothered with.

I don't know about "mainstream", but I've always wondered what’s so good about the "mainstream" anyway. As a Liberal minded person who likes to think for myself, and isn't going to just quote PETA, and the Daily Show to you, I guess all I can do is give you my take on all of your very stereotypical assumptions.
1. No. I believe that the AIDS virus is spread in many parts of the world by a lack of education on the subject, societal norms, economic distress, and other factors. In this country it is spread by overly promiscuous behavior from people with little personal accountability and a culture that demonizes the infected, lowering their likelihood that they will get tested and take adequate measures to not further the spread.
2. I don't think anyone is for abortion "On demand". Just as I don't think anyone would be for instant and unregulated capital punishment. But nothing on earth is a black and white issue. Sometimes both are necessary, but neither should be taken lightly.
3. Clearly not. But maybe with adequate funding being funneled to the school system, which used to be the greatest on earth, those fourth grade teachers WOULD be able to teach kids to read, and much more.
4. Again nothing is black and white. Some trial lawyers are "heroes". And I don't think that doctors are overpaid. There are however serious flaws in the medical system in this country that create artificially high medical costs that make even the most basic of care out of reach for many people.
5. Guns are never more of a threat that nuclear weapons in the hands of ANYONE. Pro gun control, anti gun bans. And very anti nuclear proliferation. Besides, those evil "red Chinese" are the ones who own billions of dollars of our national debt, so I don't know why you're insulting them unless you find something wrong with the way that certain political groups like to fund things by borrowing from outside sources.
6. Why do I have to believe one and not the other? Of course global temperature is affected by cyclical solar changes, but humanities impact on the planet cannot be ignored. And the issue is larger than just carbon output.
7. Gender roles are "artificial", if by artificial you mean social constructs based on cultural norms and values. And if being gay isn't natural, then you think it's a choice. Could you "choose" to be gay? I know I couldn't.
8. Both businesses and governments can create both oppression and prosperity. Neither can be allowed to exist unchecked.
9. Not all animal rights activists are the annoying PETA types who have no interaction with nature, just as not all hunters care or don't care about nature. Some hunters are great environmentalists, and some are just drunks who like to shoot things. And there is a wide range in between those two extremes.
10. I don't even know what this means or how it's related to Liberalism. Sorry.
11. Of course there was art before federal funding. But in order for art to be the sole function of an artist, some outside funding is required. In the renaissance, it was wealthy nobles that funded artists and commissioned their work. Art is an important cultural legacy, and as such should be funded by a populace of people. Of course people will still create art outside of the system of federal funding, but museums and galleries have to come from somewhere.
12. PBS is a good station. So are many of the other channels.
Many of those other channels are awful too. SO I don't know what your point was...again. Sorry.
13. I don't think either organization is inherently good or evil. But I'm not against the NRA. And I don't think the ACLU always get things right either. But both groups serve an important role in a society that values personal freedoms.
14. I don't pay ATM fees with my bank. And I'm impartial to tax levels. I don't think they're too low, I mean, no one likes their money taken away. I'm just a little upset about where my money is going once it has been taken.
15. Why can't they all be important to American history? And to be honest, Edison was always more of a showman than an inventor. Tesla was a real inventive genius, but you never hear about him do you? If we had excellent public schools, they would be able to teach about all of these historical figures, and not just the few big names.
16. Racial quotas are racist, clearly. I think that standardized tests are not so much "racist", as they are culturally biased. Ask a kid from the inner city who has never seen some of the things that are talked about on standardized tests, and of course they are going to get artificially lowered scores. Just like if you asked a kid from the country a question involving city lingo.
17. Smoking bans are bull. So is public funds being used to treat the people who are sick from smoking. You can't legislate healthy lifestyles upon people, just as you can't legislate personal morality upon people. All you can do is provide the facts and hope for the best.
18. Hillary is female, I don't know about a "lady". (She wants to take our video games away!) And Rosie...used to be kind of funny I guess. But not recently. She’s mostly just loud. But in the same way people from the right are allowed to be outspoken about their views, so is she. I guess if you don't like it, turn off the TV and take a walk. Get some fresh air and such,
19. Some conservatives are racists. And some people need help to make it in the world. It's not based on color but on social class and economic means. A white person from the ghetto needs just as much help as a black person, just as black children from gated communities really don't need any more special help than their rich white neighbors.
20. Socialism doesn't work because of human nature, and the need to regulate the masses. On a small level, socialism works fine, but only to the size of a small village. In order to govern an entire country, a modified form of socialism would be needed, one that still has a free market, but is sure to provide its citizens with a safety net. And yes, in most cases socialisms major failing was that it was a socialist dictatorship with a highly corrupt government.
21. Last I checked, the internet was an optional means of learning, while school is mandatory. The Ten Commandments won't "Hurt" anyone unless the tablets were to fall on someone. But to compare what’s allowed in the public schools and what’s allowed on the internet is a hollow argument. Because the education provided in the public schools must exist to serve the needs of all, it makes more sense to leave morals in the hands of parents and churches, rather than teach about the morals and values of the hundreds if not thousands of different religious and spiritual groups in the country and world.
22. I don't recall saying either of those things. Soldiers have no choice of where they are deployed to or what their mission is going to be. If they killed babies while over there, then they would be "baby killers", but that would seem to be a blanket statement to call them all that.
23. Yes, Yes, Yes, and maybe. That was so long ago, I can't remember the details of the case.
24. No I don't, yes It would seem that some can (especially since the Human is an animal), and for a short time a human is a ball of protoplasm. Last I checked, a blastocyst can't form cogent thoughts, so by your reasoning it has no importance.
Well, I hoped those helped you in some way. I see a lot on Y!answers that Liberals just run from an argument and never provide their side. So maybe this will let you know that we are not all the same, we're not just a big homogenous blob of people who have the same feelings on different issues. Maybe this will get you to cool off and put your energies into less stereotypical and negative thoughts.
