Like for instance if i added a cname alias for pda.mydomain.com to point to m.otherdomain.com/login can i still make pda.mydomain.com appear in the address bar?

More specifically I have a google business apps account. I have the cname alias "mail.mydomain.com" pointing to "ghs.google.com". The url in the address bar changes to show "google.com/a/mydomain.com". Is there a way to hide that and show my domian name still?

It doesn't work that way.

CNAME is DNS. Only the hostname portion of an URL is resolved via DNS. pda.mydomain.com -> m.otherdomain.com is possible.

However, the "/login" implies some sort of redirection (there's no "/login" on the original URL) which implies that it's not just a DNS change to get from one URL to the other.
