It sure feels good to be back in America after a week in the UK. Nothing better than coming home to America after spending a week in a foreign country.

Canada doesn't really count as a foreign country, since going there is sort of like visiting Minnesota......

Sometimes but not always. When I visit Asia I sometimes wonder what the heck is going on in the USA. Customer service is much better in Asia. They treat the consumer a lot better. Public transportation is much better there and consumers have a wider selection of electronics and services.

Don't get me wrong, in no way am I anti-USA I just get pissed at some of the things we have to put up with here.

I've traveled through Europe and South America, not to mention from the East to the West Coast of America. I love London, Paris, Ecuador, Chile, and many other places, but I'm always glad to be home. It's not so much being in a foreign country, but being in a place that's foreign to me. The old saying, "home is where the heart is," is certainly true, at least for me. As far as living in another country, I could certainly live in Paris or London, which are modern cities in democratic countries with many of the same advantages and problems as America, but I was brought up here and would never be completely at home in another country.

Only when I've been to a third world country. Going to other western countries doesn't make me feel that way.
