Since some are to poor to buy the cd or have cable I will try to explain .
Its world in which you are watched 24 hours a day . Your phones tapped and a police state in charge of every thing .
No more crime or terrorism and also all freedom gone . You wake to work and serve the Police state .
Books , paintings ,music, is censored and banned by the authorities for your own good .
Many people are very happy with this and many are not .
I see this as our future . Cameras on all corners , phones tapped , and television spitting out propaganda like fox news already does all day .
A police state and more prisons , a bigger military and more spending on it . Heavy taxes to pay for all this protection and control to prevent a bomb from killing a few thousand people while enslaving everyone .
I see conservatives leading us down this path .
They always say if you have nothing to hide, are not breaking the law, then why worry about your phones or records being reviewed . This scares me .

While I haven't seen this fictional account, I have watched The Lives of Others which is a true account of life in East Germany under the Stasi.

It has subtitles (its in German). I highly recommend it and I will try to catch V for Vendetta.

Conservatives are not the only ones leading us down this path. Blair is a liberal. The Patriot Act passed by a vote of 99-1 in the Senate.

Republicans and Democrats are two sides of the same coin. Their goal is to increase the confiscation of wealth, income, power and human rights from the citizens and retain it for themselves.

"V for Vendetta" was okay, but since it was by the makers of the Matrix movies, it was well below acceptable movie fare. Part of the problem being that it had such a downer somber ending. That kills a movie franchise right there. It dragged in spots. I felt the mask was really dorky looking. Though, I liked when he depantsed the mugger, early on in the movie. The lesbian subplot did intrigue me, and felt genuine terror and sadness for the characters. I give "V for Vendetta" a 3, and I'm being very kind.

There is a secret lizard nazi control group, slowly taking power & corrupting the masses. If we want to live in a free world we must remain vigilant against them. There are easy ways to spot them, ways they cannot hide. These people are trying to take power and control over everyone, and by any means possible will they maintain their grip on humanity. If we want to ensure our liberty in the future, we must act quickly to stop them. They have plans to attack the eastern portion of the united states in the next five years, using the most destructive forces they can muster...

Once the eastern united states is destroyed a new world order will be established. They do not need the eastern portion for protection. As long as these people can control our nuclear arms they will rule by holding the entire earth hostage. They already have well trained men in high positions of authority like military, government, business leaders, etc.

Their primary motive is to control the children and to control the gospel of the lord, to pervert them and make them acceptable to the coming new order.

If everyone goes through this life living in fear, if they do not assemble and speak freely together about these things, if they will not make their voice heard, instead of shuffling votes to the right and the left, the secret nazi lizard control group will take charge of the earth. Do not be fooled by secret nazi lizards. They are extremely disciplined and good at spotting weakness. Do not allow them to subvert and take control of you. They will take advantage of everyone in any way possible.

They also have a firm grip on narrow minded thinkers. They have become very intelligent as far as psychologically manipulating people goes. I can explain these psychological manipulations, and systems of herding people in greater detail. There is very little time left, please spread the word. They are the true terrorist organization, and they must be put to an end.

The movie depended on democracy and the press being subverted by an emergency state, and so far Bush hasn't done that. We need to watch those bad boys in DC carefully. The worst part was the democrats took over the House to end the war in Iraq, and caved in on the first challenge. So much for democratic democracy.

Is that what FDR did by putting an entire group of American Citizens in prisons on the West Coast after Pearl Harbor?
Sorry, I think we have it far better now than we did under the Liberal Police State.

Actually, I thought the same thing when I first read the Graphic Novel back in the '80's. The Politics of Fear were already well established.

Bush has really advanced the agenda, but the seeds were there all along. Surveilance doesn't just affect lawbreakers, it opens people to blackmail regarding things that are legal but shameful. And, if someone gathers enough info on you, they can tell what you want, what you fear and what your price is--controlling you completely.

I can remember when Americans were a brave people, I hope we can someday find our way back to those days.

Wow sounds like North Korea, why are you not screaming about that, oh that's right you only care about yourself and your self righteous opinions. Wake up America is the most free country in the world sooner you start embracing that the sooner you will see that there are other countries in this world that have far worse than you could ever imagine.

Darfur, Sudan, Cuba, North Korea,etc..

Yes, by all means - let a fictional movie fuel your paranoia. Next thing you know, you're sharing a bunker with H. Ross Perot.
