Yeah I walk extremely fast to my car and I usually park by the entrance doors even if I have to park on the 3rd floor(of say Macy's for instance) and that's if I am even out past dark I try not to put my self in any situation that could be dangerous.
Besides my Mom would have a fit if she knew I was out past dark!!! (To this day!!! lol)

Actually I walk slower, keeping myself on alert. But there are a few times that someone has walked out in front of me and scarred the snot out of me; and they were just as startled as I was. Something about the night that makes a person nervous.

I never really noticed but I probably do walk faster at night.

Yes, and with my keys splayed out in between my fingers.
I also try to park under a street light, if I can, and walk out with a friend.

No----because that shows a potential predator fear.
I keep my same easy gait, but am ready, vigilant & alert for any possible attack.

yes i do. and also look around to see who is loitering around. we have alot of nuts in this world looking to do harm to an unaware victim.
