New West minister is next to Burnaby which is next to Vancouver and from Vancouver all the way to Surrey it is like one big city....millions of people

So, no not quiet.

Cool area though right beside the Fraser River, make sure to go to Westminster Quay....shops etc. along the river

Place is easy to get to and from via Sky train...takes 20 minutes from the Westminster station to downtown
Vancouver Waterfront station

You will see older buildings mixed with brand new high rises
New Westminster is the older part and earliest settled area
of British Columbia

Was once called " Stumpsville " The Royal Engineers were
given the task of clearing land in the 1800's, trees were
cut down that were so massive there is a picture of 12
people dancing on one tree stump !!

The picture is located in the Royal Columbia Hospital ( Used to be )

One picture showed a Indian in a canoe paddling down the
Fraser...with beautiful and awesome huge trees on the other side.....then another showed the same spot a few years later
when all the massive trees were cut....uck

Hence stumpville....now a concrete jungle like all the larger
cities, but also have some pretty park spaces all over the area

Love it and born there but because of the concrete jungle moved to the quiet of the mountains in the interior of B.C.

I know of New Westminster but not of a St. New Westminster.

New Westminster is a close in suburb with many bungalows that will remind you of parts of Los Angeles.

No St. you will do just fine, very close to all cities but just watch for crime as it is up in all areas. Never carry to much cash on you. ;-)
People are very help full, lots to do.
