Yeah, well it won't be as good next year because Schneider is no Neidermayer.

Wait before you say this. You might be losing Niedermayer. Schnieder is an insurance pick, because Scott is thinking about retiring. I'm a Wings fan, and so I know how good Schnieder can be, but he can't replace Scott Niedermayer! If Scotty comes back, then you'll be on the fast track to another Cup. If not, then who knows?

Well Niedermeyer will most likely retire, so actually the defense will be worse next year. Schneider doesnt even come close in skill to Niedermeyer.

He's a good add whether Neidermeyer retires or not. It does appear they can contend next year again.
