US laws are made by lawyers for lawyers to benefit themselves. There are more lawyers per capita in the US than anywhere else in the world. The cases drags on for too long. The lawyer who is aggressive, cheats and tricks the opponent, always wins.

If a guy kills a cop in the presence of 10 people, the case drag on for 2-10 years before anything happens. Actually, he should be executed the next day and save millions of dollars for the tax payers.

What do you say ?

It's not the law makers. It's regulating what happens in our courts. Everyone is given the right to due process however there are no guidelines which limit how far an attorney can take that "right of due process". Law is theatrics without a doubt. Another reason why we need regulation of our courts - especially in our probate system which is pathetic. Regarding your comment about execution, unfortunately, there is the rule of appeal, which needs to be adhered to. However, with cases such as Scott Peterson and recently, Bobby Cutts, you are 101% correct and these poor excuses for human beings should have their sentence carried out immediately.

First of all, laws are passed by Congress, not by lawyers. While it may be that some members of Congress are attorneys by trade, it certainly doesnt encompass the whole number.
As far as cases dragging on too long, you are probably right. But, that is the downside to built in safeguards for the rights of the accused in a criminal case. Like it or not, they do have rights.
As for lawyers being dishonest, again, no doubt there are
rotten apples in every barrel. But, there are those who work hard at their jobs, giving clients the best representation possible, and those are the cornerstone of the legal system.
As far as your last point goes, capital cases have built in safeguards for the rights of the accused. After all, we dont want to execute an innocent person and find out ten years later. Our system is flawed, freely granted, and certainly far from perfect. But, its better than those systems in the former Communist Block and most parts of the middle east.

It enforcement is challenge to bias and can have an effect indicitive of this bias. In different words a police officer comes to a decision to inspect harder in accordance with say race or intercourse, a DA prosecutes in accordance with this same ingredient, and a jury determines guilt utilizing this same bias. occasion, a guy is going into yet another mans backyard, digs holes, threatens to kill the youngster of the owner, and finally assaults the owner: the owner shoots and kills the guy. If the owner is black there's a severe hazard the police will can charge against the regulation, the DA will prosecute, and the jury will locate guilt. while if the owner is white, there's a low hazard this sort of determination is made. The numbers substitute much greater for women. this is totally complicated for a girl in our society to be chanced directly to blame of homicide, whether she gets a shot gun, shoots her husband interior the top, and runs away with the babies. if so she pronounced her husband substitute into obdurate, asked her to gown in underclothes, and cherished it while they went to church on sundays (she felt this variation into too lots). i'm no longer even making those issues up.

I say you have a thing against lawyers.

We have laws so that we can all live together in harmony.
We have safeguards in the justice system so that we don't punish the innocent.

I do think that parts of the justice system have gotten out of hand - but it sure beats living in iran or the saddam iraq - don't ya think ?
