How do you get rid of them? Or, do you use them?

Yeah...one of the few defects in the toaster. They ought to make miniscule vacuum cleaners to suck them up or something...you make me laugh Father C, lol.

* Remove the crumb tray at the base of the toaster and shake out accumulated crumbs; wash the tray in warm soapy water.
* If your toaster does not have a crumb tray, turn the toaster upside down and shake it over the sink or a large garbage can.
* Use a thin soft brush to remove crumbs from the interior.
* Metal utensils should not be used to clean the inside of the toaster.

Guilty! Mom of 3 and wife, I must always make sure I check for the pile of crumbs. I take the tray out in the bottom of the toaster and throw them in the garage disposal. NO I would never use them, hmmmm, something to think about though, like maybe why not?

I open the little door on the bottom of the toaster to empty them out.
Its kinda sad because I can't even eat wheat, so I never use the toaster... But I get to clean it out, I guess that's why these 3 little people in my house call me "Mom". LOL :)

There should be a tray underneath you can slide out to clean it. unplug it 1st and carry it over to the sink. Dump the crumbs in there. This will keep your toaster from making random burning smells.

lol...what a funny question! you can either turn it over and shake or remove the crumb tray from the bottom. I throw them away...I buy my breadcrumbs...who knows how much other crap has found it's way into my toaster.

turn the toaster over in the trash and shake, and my avaitar wants the crumbs hes a bit famished

i dump mine out after ever uses,some toasters have a tray at the bottom that you can pull out.those are easier to clean.Good Luck
