If you wanted to have a really nice car fixed like a race car would you let someone who has a lot of experience but not a name or shop work on your car even if they built a car and can show you their work skills and ability?

I have had good luck with letting independent workers pick up my car at home, detail it, and return it to me.

It would depend on the circumstances. I would have to know the guy for some time or have a friend vouch for him. Other than that, I would want a shop to do the work.

go with your gut feeling, if you are uneasy about it, then don't do it. good luck
