lets just say that you went to barns and nobels or borders at midnight on the 20th of july to pick up your copy of DH. and they told you that there had been a mistake and your reserved copy was not with this shipment. and that they were very sorry, but you would have to wait until August to pick up your copy. none of your friends will let you borrow their copies of the book. what would you do??!!!!
you wouldnt be able to get online or talk to your friends or watch tv for fear of someone spilling the beans on what happened in the final book..........ahhh! the horror!!!!

I would first cry for ever. Then, I would put on my ninja costume and sneak around untill I find a house with it. They wouldn't be able to see my cuz of the ninja costume, you see. Then, i would take it, read it untill I was done than return it before anyone knew what happened!

Just Kidding, I have it reserved at Borders, they're more reliable.

Barnes and Noble never runs out of the book the first night. They get thousands of copies, and only hundreds of people ever come to a given store at midnight.

Your best bet is to bring enough money to buy a copy there, if they somehow lose your pre-order information. They won't deny you a book just because you didn't pre-order. Last year, I went to Barnes & Noble at midnight without a pre-order, and just bought it at the counter at midnight.

Don't worry. If B&N doesn't have it, then you can go to Wal-Mart (open 24/7) and get it for less than 20 dollars.

Hope that helps! Don't fret too much, I had to wait an entire day after Order of the Phoenix came out because I was traveling, and nobody spoiled it for me :)

Hmm, lock myself in my room and cry. Become anti-social to to the world. Turn off my phone and throw it out the window so no one would tell me. Refuse to leave the house incase someone spills the beans. And I wouldnt go online or watch tv because someone might say something...=b

A scary though...*twitches* I hope that'll never happen!

first of all, i know its just Hypothetical... but that would never happen. book stores get enough books for all the reserved copys and extras to put out in the store. also, for harry potter... they would never run out of stock. and i'm pretty sure your friends would let your borrow their book once they finished with it.

but, if you were a big enough fan i think you probably would try as hard as you could to get a copy of the book for yourself to read.

if it were to really happen, good luck!!

Um, I'd just order it off on Amazon, have it shipped priority mail, and get on with my life.

I would find a way to get it. Even if there was no where else.
