i hope that you live together if you are married! but yes, it is considered controlling! it doesn't matter if he hates your friend or not, it is your friend and you do not have to ask permission to see them. he is your husband not your father. tell him..i am going to go see my friend for a few hours. and then go. put your foot down. if you let him control you over this he will try to control you the rest of your life.

Many wedding vows say "and fore sake all others"
Depends.
Is your best friend a great best friend when you are single or part of a couple?
Some best friends are great when you are single because they get you do some fun stuff, but now might undermine your relationship with your husband.
I have friends that I choose not to hang around with because I am a family man now and I know with them I have & would do thing that might hurt my family.
When you decided to marry your husband you chose him to be your other half, not your best friend. If your conscience told you not to hang around your best friend would you think it was controlling you?

you would be able to desire to provide up discussing your relationship alongside with your pal. once you 2 are at the same time you basically remember to do no longer whinge approximately him or share intimate information of your relationship. She does not would desire to love your husband to be your pal. And if she is a sturdy pal she will have the potential to close up approximately your husband and assist you whilst and if all her accusations come actual. If she would have the capacity to't provide up even once you have tried to take him out of your friendship equation then she isn't your pal.

Never get married to a person who hates your best friend. Chances are, he hates your family too. I wouldn't be as concerned about him being "controlling" as I would about making a bad marital decision. I'll give it 1 year, tops!

If he does not like your best friend, fine, he doesnt have to see her. Ask him why he doesnt like her, and explain to him that it does not change your feelings, bieng with your friend makes you happy, and he has no right to make you choose between the two.
I have a general rule...if one person wants to make me choose between two people, I always choose the person who isnt trying to force me to pick...and any time the situation comes up I let the person making me choose know that, and see if they want to take it back.

Yes he is being controlling... let him know that you dont appreciate him trying to control you.... see his reaction... if he gets violent LEAVE! You do not want to be in a controlling, abusive relationship!
