Worst ever would be hard to define. I often work away and eat out a lot. The one that springs to mind was part of a Hotel chain. This location was in Wales. The whole experience was bad from the start, slow service. I thought the cutlery was dirty and I just had to complain and walked out after the 1st course.
Went down the road to a local Chinese.

In a small little Hungarian restaurant on Center Ridge Rd. in Westalke Ohio. Service was terrible and the food would at best, gag a maggot, even a simple thing like bread was no good and stale to boot.

To kaykay;
strange you should mention "shoney's" as my wife and I travel over 90 miles about once a month just for breakfast at shoneys, in Dover Ohio. We have, when travelling eaten at many shoneys around the south and mideast sections of the country and always with good results, except, like your experience, the one in Westminster, Md. terrible and like the one you mention, no longer in existance, thank heaven for that.

The worst meal I ever had out was at a pub restaurant in my home town. It was Spaghetti Bolognese and had far too much salt.

Sushi Mambo in Napa, CA. The service was terrible. My husband finished his steak and my sushi still hadn't arrived. And we were about the only ones there! 45 minutes later I had to walk around to find our waitress and tell her to box it up. She said it would be right out, I said no, box it up. She brought it on a plate. I repeated "I NEED A BOX!" So she finally brought one, but we didn't get home for another 5 hours and by that time it wasn't good enough to eat. I had to throw it out.

We're never going there again.

The Longlands in Lancashire was dire. The chef must have been trying to get as many flavours and arty-farty foods on each plate that they all clashed and it turned out a real hotch potch. Gordon Ramsey should sort him out.
