Ladies, I work at Victoria's Secret. Yes they hire men, and NO I'm not gay. There ARE certain rules for me though: No bra fitting, and no hanging around near the dressing room before closing time. I worked there as a seasonal and was recently rehired.

I'm just wondering what your first thoughts are if you came into my store and were greeted by me. Seeing how I'm on YOUR turf and whatnot :-P

You got guts man..but remember, if women can do men's jobs then men can do jobs ususally associated with women..so in a sense you're contributing to egalatarianism:D

They must have an adventurous private life.. I guess they are guys who go out and date a lot of women.. so they get an idea of what suits what type of women and what is flattering for a more curvy type and what enhances the best features of someone extremely slender.. they must have gained their knowledge through experience in dating women.. I don't know what I would think.. I guess I would be surprised to find a man helping me choose something but then again I have only been to ''Victoria's secret once in my life.. I can't afford to pay such prices for lingery.. and I found it a bit uncomfortable also talking to a female member of staff.. because I asked for a chemise.. and stockings.. to match and panties.. felt weird.. I am the kind of person who buys my lingerie at Sears or where I can walk around and just look for my size and buy it.. not where I have to ask for it...but why should men not do that.. after all women go to male gynaecologists.. that's a lot more intimate than asking a shop assistant for the right size of stockings and undergarments...

In May, my husband and I went to the 32nd St. VS in NYC while on vacation. I didn't really want to go there, because I had had poor experience with a bra from there and I think that they are disgustingly overpriced. Plus, I needed either something bigger (I don't think that they even have plus sizes) and something for nursing, as I'm pregnat. Well, once again, I got poor service and was apalled at the prices. ($35 for one bra seemed rater autrocious to me.) Later on in our trip we found a Motherhood Maternity store and got two nursing bras for the price of one bra at VS.

Anyway, I did see some men there, and while it was a bit surprising, I thought a job is a job if one needs it. Also, I've worked retail and factory and enjoy retail better.

If I were to return, it would not bother me.

It's actually not that out of the ordinary for the Vicotria's Secret at our mall, because we have a male working there too. He doesn't work out on the floor anywhere, but rather behind the registar, but he does say hello, and I don't think it's creepy.

I guess a few women who are searching to buy really intimate things might be a tad embarressed or shy about it, but really, I think it's great because I can ask his opinion about it. "Do you think my boyfriend would like this in pink or red?" type of thing. Score, a second straight man's opinion.

I don't think I'd have a problem with it. I hardly pay attention to the sales associates anyway, unless they ask me if I need help. And if you asked me, I doubt I would think anything of it.

Now if you were wearing a skirt and a push-up bra, then maybe I'd have to take a second look...

It wouldn't bother me, unless you were a really pushy salesperson, which women don't like, male or female. And I hope you won't use your job to hit on women. But it seems like you have a good job, you get to work with women, selling to women, and finding out what women like. But without the dressing room hassle.

I was slightly shocked but I got over it real quick. I understand that you need cash and hey a honest job is a honest job.

i would be kinda pleazed cuz yeah a woman can help me. but a man can give me his mens point of view on his sexy pick. a girl cant say what a man thinks is sexy. They can only guess.
