you got it! people from kanye west to duran duran can all come together for a special one-off event, yet 2 of the people who knew her most couldnt even find time to record a 30 second message? i find that quite disrespectful to diana, and the kids. its just another point that proves that the 'royal' family dont care about anyone but their individual selves

I don't think they should as Charles has re-married and the Queen would of not fit in at all with the music--it was something the princes wanted to do on their own for there Mother ,I believe, William and Harry orchestrated and planned every detail from what I heard so they probably didn't want it any other way.

Why should they? The Queen is elderly, and an appearance at a rock show seems quite silly for her. Even a taped one.
And Charles? He's off doing his own little thing with that other person, now, isn't he?
This was the boys creation. Done as they saw that it should be.

No, I think they were divorced and the marriage was over when she died. In fact, I think it would have been hypocritical - Charles is now married to the woman Diana saw as a threat to her marriage.
I thought the princes did well - they remembered their mother with respect and affection.

I think they were wise to stay out of it. It was kind of a young, hip thing and Charles or the Queen might have stiffened that up a bit. And after all the controversy and so forth, it was better just to let the boys have their fun.

Good Lord I hope not...I think the world knows all their problems and difficulties..in fact, I think they didn't show up just because it was supposed to be about HER...
She is out of her misery, whatever it was, with the Royal Family and everything else about life.
She did some good things and she will be remembered.
It is enough. The living must go on with their lives.
I didn't watch this, but I think the only Royal people who needed to be there were her sons...not the rest of her family or her former in laws.

They don't do "segments" for ex-wives and ex-daughters-in-law. Who would? I also extremely doubt that they would find any reason to go to a 6-hour concert of that nature. The Queen only appeared at her own Jubilee concert at the very end.

no. It was a concert by the boys for their mum.
The Queen doesn't go to concerts and was never particularly fond of Diana. Charles divorced her and married Camilla so not really his cup of tea.

The queen couldn't squeeze out a tear at the funeral and Charles was probably having a Tea Party with his Teddybear.
"Dianer? Dianer who?" " Mummy have some tea and cakes, Teddy is attacking Greneda."
"Oh Charles it's past your bedtime, alright on cup and off to sleep.
"Will you tell me a story mumzie?"
"Well alright..there was a boy called Bonnie Prince Charlie..."
"And will he be King someday?"
"NO now finish your jellybut and go to bed."

I didn't watch but heard it was quite the party! And yes, Charles should have made an appearance, but the Queen...naw, let her stay at home and get some rest.
