Each mathematical operation has an inverse. For addition it is subtraction, for multiplication it is division. Therefore stating the inverse is performing the opposite or inverse operation. The inverse of "subtract 27" would be add 27, the inverse of divide by -6 would be multiply by -6, and so on.

Hi

Let the No. be x on which you are performing operations a,b and c
The end result is
f(x) = [(x -27)/-6]14 ........ (1)
x = (-6/14)f(x) + 27
x = inv[f(x)] = (-6/14)f(x) + 27 ........(2)

From (2), the operations for inverse function are
a) Divide by 14
b) multiply by -6
c) add 27
in the order of a, b and c as above.

Good luck
