No. During 1961 invasion of the bay of pigs, which was a disaster, President Kennedy took full responsibility. Even though it was not his idea and he was advised by his military advisers that this would be successful. It would be great to have a president take responsibility for official mistakes.

I don`t think Bush is responsible for Katrina the inept local gov is , they had days warning the storm was coming, yall think that Bush has to be like moses and lead the people out of the waters, stop reading and listening to the crap out there.
As for Iraq , Bush could do no right there if he brought more troops the Dems would say to many troops , if he had not enough the dems would say need more troops.
I think Iraq has gotten worse because of Syria & Iran sending in and training people to go to Iraq.
But Bush must stand strong to show a message to the troops over seas that he stands with them, can`t make the mistake they did in somalia where they went in a few died and then they decided to pull out big mistake as it would be a mistake to pull out of Iraq.
Finish the job and don`t get PC about it .

Why would Bush take responsibility for Katrina? A freak of nature that should have been handled by local and state authorities! Sounds like the mayor and governor were at fault...not the President!

As for Iraq, you may wish to try reading the book "Battle Ready" by Tom Clancy. See where the REAL problems lie when it comes to executing war plans!

Then research how our government works when the President and Congress have opposing views!

It's really scarey to see how the some listen to nonsence and fail to see how things really are...and instead listen to uneducated rhetoric spewed by the ignorant!

It's a privilege of the President to do things in the name of the US, so he doesn't have to take personal responsibility for any of his actions. And he hasn't.
