I think everyone who is over the age of 18 would probably agree with you! I admit i read the magazines but i don't have a burning desire to rush out and buy them just to catch up on gossip about 'celebrities' who are people i have never met nor will ever know and therefore, do not care what happens in their lives...but that is what these magazines are- 'gossip' and of no real interest to our everyday lives!
I completely agree that they should be left out of the evening news and newspapers which should only have stories of national interests that actually may affect us as the public, for example, terrorist plots, serial killers on the loose etc. That is the news that concerns our well-being and safety of children so yes, you aren't the only one who feels this way.
Compare Paris Hiltons 23days in prison, through her own self inflicted mistakes, to that of petty/severe criminals being released from our prisons and i think you may have the answer to your question because i know what i would rather read about!

Yes I agree. There is also entertainment tonight and the Insider. If you want to know what is going on in the everyday lives of celebrities then people can watch those 2 shows also . I guess I dont honestly get why the Paris Hilton was made into so much. I think she is going to come out of it as some sort of Hero or something.

I always feel like the news has been cheapened when something like Paris Hilton going to jail gets top billing on a news cast and murder or missing persons get ignored. I don't care if it is reported later in the broadcast, but to lead the news off with celebrity gossip really isn't right.

NO you are not the only person who feels that way. paris hilton is not news ! and neither are the winners of a hot dog eating contest! we need real news like legislation that is being passed and steps that are being taken abroad. what we get is ****. it's not fair, that as a democratic nation, the people are never really informed of what their country is doing. We have to try so hard just to get real news when it should already be presented to us on tv . we should nto be seeing paris hilton.

Banning issues in basic terms makes human beings want them greater. good coaching is the way forward. sparsely there is no longer something incorrect with slightly action picture star gossip! this is in basic terms slightly of relaxing. I agree that the media is in action picture star over-rigidity on the minute yet I doubt it relatively is the biggest challenge dealing with babies at present.
