sometimes before i go to sleep, if I'm completely relaxed, i sometimes get this numb tingly feeling all over, and, i sort of feel "Disconnected" from myself in a way, like i can feel myself "Drift off" i'll not be asleep yet, but i can feel myself fall asleep, and soon do, usually really peaceful........

last night however, i went to bed, completely relaxed, got that same disconnected tingly feeling, except this time, i was completely aware of my surroundings at the same time in a dreamlike way started seeing things, as if they were a dream, i saw big eyes and felt like they were pulling me in, at the same time, the tingly numb feeling i got became stronger, and i tried to move my body, but couldnt, i felt the blankets and the bed but my muscles wouldnt move, like i was paralyzed, finally i was able to, but 3 more times this happened that night, freaking me out, each time i couldnt move a muscle no matter how much i tried, feeling like i was being pulled in

what is this?

Many people have asked about this on Yahoo! Answers before. It's called sleep paralysis, and affects many people. This is a natural part of the sleep cycle. In your case it's just happening a little early, before you're fully asleep.

I've linked a couple of the previous posts:
