such as Rio, New Moon on Monday, My Own Way, New Religion, etc more than their latest attempts? Not knocking them because I always have loved them but I think maybe they're past their prime and need to retire on the squagillions of dollars that their loyal fans spent on them.

Duran Duran were amongst my fave bands in the 80's,lol. at least they have staying power, not like the bands of today, who only last a few years,if that!.

Duran Duran's first two albums were excellent. New Religion is my favorite song off of Rio. I lost some interest after Rio, but they still put out some good songs like The Reflex, View To A Kill and much later, Ordinary World and Electric Barbarella.
I'm not familiar with the most recent music they've done, but more power to them anyway.

I love Duran Duran! I just saw them live on TV last night at the Concert for Diana at Wimbley Stadium in London. They sang "Rio". It was great. But, I have loved them since I was about 11 in 1983. I listen to their new music even today. The latest album has the hit "Reach Up For The Sunrise"--- great single!!!!

I loved Duran Duran back in their 'heyday' and get perhaps a bit nostalgic when I hear them on the radio every now and then (actually, the mood hit me the other day to search out Rio and put it on my myspace page...alas, I couldn't find it in myspace music). I have not listened to anything new of their's since the 80s.

Your age???What are you, in your 30's? I listened to Duran Duran in the 80's too and I'm 55. They had some good songs and I heard them all the time anyway cuz my daughters listened to them too. They are in their 30's. I remember when videos played on MTV and it was actually a music channel. I think Reflex was my favorite Duran song tho!!

I love some of the old tunes. Planet Earth, Girls on Film, Rio, etc. Great stuff.

The cover album a few years back was agregious though. White Lines...Really? I think it's really cool to do a cover record of tunes that really influenced you, but it was so bad. You should just do a really good interview or something. That version of Watching the Detectives was ridiculous too.

I'm with you, they need to retire. I loved them when I was younger, but now I can't listen to their music. None of the lyrics make any sense! That never bothered me when I was young but now that's a major prerequisite for music for me. I have always loved Nick Rhodes' synthesizer/keyboard skills, so I hate it that the lyrics keep me from listening to their music now.
