Sorry, I was thinking of the wrong brand when I wrote my last.
Suzuki parts have always been harder to get. It seems a limited number of wear parts (cables, etc.) can be ordered. They have to be shipped from Japan. For most of the hard parts, I had to go to the different yards. Try mcsalvage.com. He doesn't have everything, but he's got connections.

Look for a yahoo group, fans of th gs850 are often mechanics and know everything about them
