YES.. but it may be very expensive by model and year

yes it is possible - even in a car as small as a Mini but do note that there will be a power loss & there can be overheating issues if your engine is not in good condition (remember the compressor is driven by the engine & there is what looks like an extra radiator to cool the gasses used in the system. this often sits right in front of the car radiator, thus being another heat issue).

Do check out the cost implications carefully before adding A/C - it may be cheaper to sell the car & buy another with A/C already in place. If it is to be done, shop around & choose an installer carefully.

Yes it is. There are several aftermarket A/C companies that make "universal kits". The best thing to do is to first find out if A/C was an option on your car when it was new. If so, then you may be able to source the parts from a salvage yard or from an auto parts store. It will be expensive, but if you live in a hot climate it will be worth it. It also may take some creativity in the installation, but it can be done.

Yes, but I was advised by a mechanic a few years ago that it isn't cost-effective. That may have changed by now, but you are probably best off to just buy a car that already has air conditioning.

it may be lots greater fee-effective to get a clean automobile with air con. it isn't any longer purely a case of setting up a clean fan! they might desire to rig up a freon reservoir, compressor, pump and condenser to the engine, then thermostat controls, hoses and the electrical powered gadget in a automobile that has no mounts or looms for any of it. I reckon your finding at £4500 and it would be off the line for a minimum of a month, via which era it is going to likely be chillier and you will no longer be able to deal with to pay for any petrol for it!

yes, it is possible. pending on vehicle, there are aftermarket systems . But this really doesn't apply to newer vehicles unless you go back with factory parts. Which both applications can be a rather expensive undertaking.

It is generally more feasible on imports than domestic but in either case it will probably cost more than buying another used car with air.
