Exactly what is it that worries straight people so much?
If you are so worried about "The Gays," what does that say about your parenting skills?
Don't you feel that you have done a good enough job of instilling your values into your own children that they will be able to make what you consider to be "the right decisions" in life?

JIMS: Who says all gays want marriage and children? And is that you think the so-called "gay agenda" is all about?
Speaking only for myself, I don't need a piece of paper to validate my relationship with my partner. We are together whether or not same-sex unions are considered legal.
As far as kids go, the prospect of parenthood, while great for other people, doesn't appeal to me in the least.

learydisciple: "The basic idea of a man, is someone who is a good leader, powerful, dominating."
In any group of men, there can only be 1 leader. Does that make the followers LESS than men?

Define "special protections." All most gay people want, is to work, live, and go about their daily business without being... oh... say, fired, mugged, or killed.
If by special protections, you mean gay marriage... why not? When straight people are going on reality game shows to WIN their spouse, how are gay people ruining the "sanctity of marriage?"
Perhaps the "special protections" which people claim we are demanding, is the right to serve our country.
People like Staff Sgt. Eric Alva who, for love and duty of his country, went to war in Iraq, and came home minus a leg.
