From my expeience as an agent i might propose the Bahamas (Nassau) not paradise Island as an inexspensive direction. the airfare is often reasonalbe around January. the only downfall is that the Baamas is off the coast of Miami and at times meaning you exsperience a similar climate through fact the US. it is not probably that heat down there In January. I been two times in January and nonetheless a similar outcomes.
